While at a local swimming pool today I got talking to some people who turned out be Somalian. They had been in Australia for 16 years. I asked if Australia had been a good place for them. They enthusiastically nodded in the affirmative and the younger said ‘I feel that Australia is my home.’ And then she said, without any hint of how ridiculous this sounded:

You know, there are so many Asians these days. They are really taking over.

And so now you know the issue bothering Somalian immigrants to Australia: Yellow Peril.

Coming soon to an Australians Against Further (Asian) Immigration rally, guest speaker Hussein Sheikh Mahmoud

The world is a weird place.
